The Tiger + His MasterA tiger lies resting,
Irate and forlorn,
His striped coat looks tarnished;
broken and worn.

But ‘lo, why does this beast look so glum and defeated?
Why, the faults of his master- the way that he's treated.
Day after day he is baited for show;
Jeered at and prodded, left alone in his woe.

And over the years these deep wounds do not mend,
He's fed up, enraged, he's reached his rope's end.
His master drags him roughly out of his cage,
Mutters harsh words, and leads him onstage.
The tiger is teased with a lash of the whip,
Now it's too late, it's over; he's had it; that's it.

The thick rope is broken in one graceful bound,
the
WerewolfThey called me a liar,
They spat at my name.
For I was like fire;
unsafe and untamed.

It started one night as I stumbled through the wood,
Trudging toward home with black boots and black hood.
I heard a cruel snarling, in stillness I stood,
Eyes tight, muscles tense; this could be nothing good.

Before me was crouching a wolf of great size,
A great beast with black fur, fierce claws, and bright eyes.
It sprang upon me in a leap quick as light,
And down I was pinned, unable to fight.
I felt its teeth as my neck,
My own blood like fire,
And sank deep into sleep in the dark, wicked mire.

After finally overthrowing his father, the battle has just begun for Zuko. The nation bleeds, broiling with post-war instability.

Sleep continues to elude Zuko as he continues to war with himself, struggling to bear the weight of his people's expectations.

Fire Lord Zuko watches the city burn as the riots continue even under blanket of night, feeling powerless despite his title.

Fire Lady Katara watches Zuko with concern for a moment, wishing she could lift the burden from her husband's shoulders.

The glow of the fire illuminates the jealousy flickering in his eyes, wishing that, for once, he were in possession of his wife's ever-present faith.

Love the added story. Always been a big fan of your writing and I always will be!

I really like the take you took on jealousy in this one. Some that I've seen have dealt with a more obvious (and sometimes overused) form of jealous. The one you chose is more in depth.
